1/17

Looking ahead to the 29th, I have had a few questions and there has been confusion across the district. I have worked with the central office to have a guest speaker for our half-day here at TPS. We will have some folks come in to talk to us about supporting gender-diverse students. Some of you may have had this training years ago but it seems appropriate for a refresher. For some of you, this may be the first time you have considered the topic. This is for ALL teaching staff as it is pertinent to us all.

The ILT team is interested in seeing how writing is taught throughout the building in various classes, grades, and subjects (Yes, specialists we are looking at you as well!).  We understand this can look VERY different in our K-8 building.  However, we also know we can learn a lot from each other, especially from grades and subjects that we normally teach.  We have a few questions that we'd like for you to answer.  Things to note.  This is NOT EVALUATIVE in any way!  In fact, we aren't having admin come on our walks with us. If we do come into your room to observe, you will be entered into a raffle.  The winner gets a free coffee/tea!
Please fill out the survey here!  We ask that you respond by Wednesday 1/22 as we will be going to rooms on Monday and Thursday of the following week.

From BA: Don't  forget to fill out the Warrior of the Month spreadsheet for January!

The week ahead:

  • Monday (1/20) No School MLK Day
  • Tuesday (1/21) Day A
  • Wednesday (1/22) Day B
    • HS presents to 8th graders at 8:30
  • Thursday (1/23) Day C
    • STEAM Meeting
  • Friday (1/24) Day D
