11/22

A reminder that we will drop everything and STEAM on Monday to prepare for a Thanksgiving parade. We will follow a delayed opening schedule which means no library volunteers.

On Tuesday, specials will stay the same except 5-8 will all have the Turkey trot during that second period. Elementary classes may choose to come up and cheer on the older kids at the teacher's discretion. The Middle School will follow a modified schedule from there if I did this right:

  • Advisory 8:25-8:55
  • Line Parade route 8:50-8:55ish for 9 am parade start time
  • Parade 9-9:20?
  • Middle School Teacher prep 9:50-10:35
  • Turkey Trot 9:20/30ish -10:30/35
  • Period 1 10:35-11:19
  • Period 2 11:19-12:03
  • Period 3 FIRST HALF 12:03-12:25
  • Lunch/recess 12:25-1:05
  • Period 3 SECOND HALF 1:05-1:27
  • Period 4 1:27-2:11
  • Period 5 2:11-2:55

The parade will start with all the elementary school students in their classes. Everyone should file out 1 by 1 starting at K and going up to 5 chronologically. The route will go down by the bus door lobby up the MS hallway and then back down the elementary school wing. Middle School students (the crowd) can line the MS halls and the alcove by the Monarch Way station.

If you missed the email with the Holiday Shop signups it is here as well.

In case there wasn't enough going on, on Tuesday. BethAnne and I have decided to host a Turkey hunt. We'll have the flyers explaining the rules in mailboxes on Monday and set the turkeys into the wild on Tuesday morning. Come to the office after 3:00 with a turkey and leave with a gift certificate. It's our way of showing thanks to our wonderful staff while having a little fun!

I'm looking forward to the Holiday party on 12/19! I hope many of you can attend and thank you to those organizing the event!

I want you to know that we are back to the drawing board on Tracy's replacement. Our candidate ended up withdrawing due to family reasons. We do have some candidates coming in the week we return from Thanksgiving break. Meanwhile, Cheryl has agreed to help us hold down the fort for the first few weeks of December.
