In case you missed it, the window for Panorama and STAR testing has been extended until next Friday.
As you see the Eureka2 books coming in, we are left with Eureka1 books to figure out what to do with. As you start to empty out your rooms for the summer, we will gather these materials, textbooks and consumables, in room 112.
I was remiss in letting you all know last week that Amanda Haggerty (adjustment counselor) has resigned from her position after a year-long sabbatical. I know you will all join me in wishing her the best!
Thank you to everyone for your efforts with our first ALICE drill. The Police were very impressed with everyone. Everyone made the decisions that was best for them given the information they had! Kudos! Food for thought, if there is an event going on near the connecting hallway, you will likely not want to move your class past it. Also, the book can give off some mixed messages about how you want to evacuate. The feedback from the PD is that you want to move quickly and quietly. The time to run, zig-zag and yell is if the intruder is in your line of sight. Otherwise, we don't want to attract attention. Finally, the locking of doors was much improved but there were still a few rooms left unlocked/open allowing the police unfettered access to other rooms. All that said, I couldn't be prouder our how our first drill went!
