🍎Great job with Open House last night!  We had a good turn out and I always love to see families in the school! 

⭐At my admin meeting yesterday, we discussed parent/teacher conferences. You will be getting an email from the new scheduling program soon. I will keep you posted as to when sign-ups will go live!  Here are the dates and times (now that it has been discussed and finalized district-wide): 

• Evening Conferences: 10/28 5:00-7:30
• Afternoon Conferences: 10/29 12:35-3:05

🗪I know I mentioned this at the staff meeting, but for those who weren't there, I'd like to adjust our walkie talkie chatter.  Moving forward, I'd like us to reduce messaging on the walkie. The reasoning behind this is if there was ever to be an emergency, I don't want anyone tuning out the message because we are used to hearing so much on the walkie waves.  

•  If you need support, please just state "support needed in (location)." 
•  If you are sending someone to the nurse, just say "sending someone to the nurse". If more information needs to be provided, escort the child or call her office. If it is an emergency, please state the details and the location.
•  If you are sending someone to the office for a disciplinary reason, just say "Sending a student to the office" and then follow up to provide Roger with the information so he can get it to Sherry and I.   
• If you need custodial assistance, just say "Matt, your assistance is needed in (location) for (reason)." 
• If there is a situation that requires admin (thinking about the garden visitors that were on premises this week w/o permission), this is a scenario where details over the walkie in real time is necessary. 
• Please not use names or initials on the walkies or any kind of confidential information.

💧A note from the Health Office: Please don't send students to the nurse's office for water (unless there is a medical reason). Thanks!
