👏Great job today with the ALICE drill! As I said in my email, the safety personnel was super impressed with all of TPS! Here are the glows/grows/action steps from today's drill. One of the officers asked me to share with you the power of barricading. This is an actual photo of a classroom after there was an active shooter in an Ocala, Florida school in 2018. Even if the door to this classroom was unlocked, there was no way someone was getting in.
📆In case you missed it, here are the 12/8 plans for the half district PD day. Here is the plan (with agenda included) for the TPS k-5 classroom teachers and k-5 sped teachers. Middle school and middle school sped teachers, please refer to the groupings for the Taste of Kagan and MyCAP workshops.
⭐I'd like to have a check in with everyone to hear how the year is going and to discuss what I can do to support you moving forward. Please sign up for a time on my calendar. If there isn't a time that works for you on what is offered, reach out and we'll find a time that works! Obviously, no pressure, but I'd really appreciate the time to connect. I know some of you have already signed up - thanks!
⛄If you'd like to share your Holiday card with the staff, please do so! As we have done over the last few years, we'll hang them up in the main office for everyone to appreciate and enjoy!
🛝Just a reminder, the main office will make the decision on indoor recess (as requested by staff). This decision will be made in real time around 10:15-10:20 (unless coming into school the forecast is for freezing cold). This is the guide we use to make this decision! You can probably forecast our decision using this! (no pun intended)
Have a great weekend!
