🚒Great job with the fire drill today.  We were out and accounted for in less than 5 minutes!

⭐Just a reminder to not open any doors to people even if we know them! They will need to be buzzed in by Cheryl or whoever is covering the office. 

🍴This week we held our first PBIS Committee meeting. Thank you to Henry, Rachel, Carrie C., Destiny, Christine R. and Melissa for being a part!  Our first focus will be the cafeteria.  We'll be working on a video to teach the students the expectations for lunch time.  Stay tuned for more details.  Next will be recess! 

📖At my Admin meeting this week, we nailed down a timeline for updating our Read Aloud list.  Please post an anticipated read aloud at least two weeks prior to reading it.  With the seasons changing, now may be a good time to add more titles. 

👍A few people mentioned there was some confusion for recess coverage on CPT days.  On CPT days for k-5 staff, Jillian, Melissa and/or  Kati (depending on the recess) are out there in addition to the other grade level teachers.  Jillian, Melissa and/or Kati will be the person responsible for lining up and taking the students from the planning grade level to the cafeteria.  

😍We have a staff meeting on Wednesday!  Emily will be sharing the wonders of Kagan with all of us!  I attended a "Taste of Kagan" this week and I was super impressed and excited about bringing back some of what I learned!  Emily has had A LOT more Kagan training and is actually kind of an expert!  She is going to share her enthusiasm with all of us.    

👀👂Tuesday and Wednesday are hearing and vision screenings. Specialists and teachers of k/1/2/3/4/5/7, please review this schedule and let me know if I am missing something. Screenings will take place in the extended day room this year (110).
