Congratulations on a great open house. As I was moving around the building, I received feedback that it was a great night and parents were happy to have the opportunity to see their child's classroom and meet all of you. I know it makes for a long day, but know you were appreciated.
I am going to keep this week's wrap-up short (refer to the meme for the reason). Here are a few things to note:
⭐With the recent times of uncertainty on all of our minds lately, I just want to keep our building safety on our minds as well:
- Please continue to lock your classroom doors when you are not in there. We all have keys for this reason.
- Please do not prop open outside doors and make sure they close behind you.
- If you find a door open or unlocked, report it immediately.
- We've had a lot of visitors lately for a multitude of reasons. Please do not hesitate to call the office if someone is unfamiliar to you or is not wearing a visitor's badge or a district ID.
- Remind students (and actually this a good reminder for ourselves too) that we do not open the front door or bus lobby door for anyone (non TPS staff) - even if we know them.
♚Prince Plaza - please don't plan on using Prince Plaza until it is re-organized. Student Council elections are coming and I am hoping they will be able to assist in getting it all back into shape. I'm also going to have to adjust some of the experiences. My apologies, but know that it will reopen soon.
⚽Goals - John and I will be reaching out next week for times to set up to meet and discuss your goals. We will also share our goals with you, as well as the District's. Hopefully one or both will give you some inspiration. ;-)
💬Conferences - Jim sent out a letter about conferences this afternoon. If you did not receive it, let me know.
🖊Staff Meeting - We have a staff meeting on Wednesday. We will spend some time looking at MCAS data. I know some of you have been asking for it - it's coming, I promise.
I think that's it. I'm sure I missed something, but my brain is fried! Have a great weekend!
Looking Ahead:
- Monday (9/22) - F Day
- Tuesday (9/23) - A Day
- Wednesday (9/24) - B Day
- Thursday (9/25) - C Day
- Friday (9/26) - D Day
