The library reopens its doors on Monday. A big thank you again to Jessie Trowbridge for all her efforts in organizing volunteers. Please plan to follow the schedule you signed up for starting on Monday :) 

Attendance matters! We're getting a little loose around taking and submitting attendance. Please make sure this is done by 9:00 every day. Please also make sure you are checking that kids are in front of you. We are getting kids marked absent when they are here and vice versa. Nothing scares a parent more than us calling to ask why their student isn't here when they saw them walk to the bus stop. Equally concerning is when we don't know a student is absent. I've had a few incidents in my career where students decided to wander into the woods rather than come into the building and the longer this takes to discover the more problems can occur.  

Remember to return those beautiful tardy passes to Tracy.

If students are asking to come down and see BethAnne or me, please call down first. We're finding kids are losing quite a bit of instruction by asking different teachers to see if they can come down and check to see if we're available. 

I was walking around during dismissal and noticed staff showing videos. I want to caution you on this practice. Many of these are copyrighted. Additionally, videos shouldn't be shown unless already previewed and somehow tied to the curriculum. If you're watching someone read a story aloud this is an easy one. If you are watching anything Disney, know that they have been known to go after public schools for copyright infringement.  

Wednesday morning is our next scheduled staff meeting. This is an opportunity for you to work with your grade level team analyzing STAR and other data points to develop RTI groups. Send BethAnne and my notes on these discussions and the groupings you make based on this. We'll be looking for this by the end of the week so, if your group chooses to work at a different time outside of typical school hours, we can be flexible. Specialists can continue working on a joint project. Special education, please join grade-level teams.
