We walked around this afternoon with the building inspector and deputy fire chief inspecting the building. I am pleased to say there wasn't much to address. I was asked to remind you though that we have fire retardant paper for bulletin boards. This is located in the art room. I was also reminded that in a building like ours without sprinklers (like ours) only 15% of the walls can be covered in non-fire-retardant paper. 

It's that time of year to get the School Council up and running. This group is primarily tasked with School Improvement Planning, Budgeting, and Handbook support. I've linked the district policy here. We have some willing returnees but I need to see if there is any other interest. Just email me to learn more or to let me know you'd like to be a part of it. 

The PTA is looking for Enrichment ideas to spend their new windfall on. To this end, they have created this survey.  

Friendly Reminder: When you are going to be out, please put it into ReadySub (even if no sub is needed) and MUNIS. BUT....save yourself the step of emailing Tracy, BethAnne, or I. These systems notify us so you don't have to. Hopefully, you all stay healthy and don't need to know this.

Amy Norton shared these reading resources for early literacy in a meeting this week and I thought everyone would benefit from knowing about them. We are working on adding a new tab to the bitmoji classroom now. 

I've also had questions about CBMs. We talked with Amy and while we can provide training down the road, the process is actually pretty simple and can be reviewed here. If you take a look at it and have questions or aren't sure about any of it, she is willing to come in and meet with any of you to practice. A reminder that you must CBM students on IEPs and 504s as well.
