💸PTA Mini Grant season is here! Here is the application to submit! The application is open today until 11/17! The PTA is already planning the Holiday Shop! Please sign your class up for a Tuesday or Wednesday visit (for the first round of shopping). You can sign up for another visit too, just not on Tuesday or Wednesday. Here is the sign up sheet!
📆As you know, Thursday and Friday are half days. We will be following the schedule that I shared last week here. I am assuming it looked good to all of you!
🍦We had an ice cream raffle basket not claimed last year. We are going to use the Rota gift certificate in the basket to purchase some ice cream pies/cakes that staff can enjoy on Thursday before/during/after conferences. Thank you to Julie for offering to go pick them up for us! Carrie suggested raffling the remaining basket to staff. We'll work on that - stay tuned!
👻Don't forget for Friday's 9:00 costume parade, we will be doing one lap around the building, exiting and re-entering through the bus lobby doors.
🌟Please print your conference schedule and get it to Cheryl by Tuesday PM. Often times the office will receive calls and it will help her to answer parent questions. I've been asked to attend a handful of conferences. If there is one you'd like me at, please ask.
🚍Please send bus notes to the office first thing in the morning. Cheryl has to confirm with the bus company and SDM that the change(s) are okay. Last minute visits to the office makes it harder on her. Thank you!
😊In case you missed the staff meeting Thursday's Warrior Wrap Up, I'd like to welcome back Eileen Donahue (starting next Thursday)! As part of the district’s ongoing goal to have a Team Chair in place at each school, Paxton and TPS have been assigned a new Team Chair who will begin in December. This initiative is designed to allow principals and assistant principals to focus more on instructional leadership, data work, and supporting the many initiatives currently underway. In the meantime, Eileen will be joining us 2–3 days each week (Thursdays, Fridays and every other Wednesday) through the start of December and will assist with student supervision, behavior support, and other administrative needs while John and I continue in the Team Chair role (until the hired chair begins).
👋I'd like to welcome Caitlyn Candiello to the TPS Staff. She will be our new 3rd grade teacher! Her start date will hopefully be 11/10. In the meantime, Amy will hold down the fort!
